The Health and Welfare Technology Expo presents newest technological solutions of social and healthcare sector

The Health & Welfare Technology Expo in Pori and Rauma, on 27 and 28 November, at the WinNova campuses has a wide range of exhibitors of the technology sector and several contributions by experts of digital services, welfare technology, robotics and artificial intelligence in the social and healthcare sector. The seminars can be followed both in Finnish and English.

The keynote speaker of the Pori event is Olli Sovijärvi, biohacker and general practitioner. The English seminar has Benjamin Dalmas, data analyst, as its keynote speaker. The welfare technology event is a showcase for the welfare technology operation in Satakunta.

– The research by the RoboAI team is presented at the English seminar. There are issues about the use of the humanoid robot Pepper in elderly care, exoskeleton rehabilitation and utilization of information pools in future hospitals, Sari Merilampi, principal lecturer and leader of the technology research group improving welfare, tells us.

The Health & Welfare Technology Expo is targeted at technology companies, leaders of the health and welfare sector, experts and personnel, teachers and students, researchers and developers, as well as anyone interested in the topic. Merilampi emphasizes that they expect especially professionals and student groups. The English seminars could also interest international students.

– In the events, you can familiarize yourself with tangible robot and artificial intelligence applications, already used at the health and welfare sector, and you can hear about practical experiences of them, Merilampi summarizes.

The organizers of the The Health & Welfare Technology Expo are WinNova, Prizztech Oy, Sataedu, Satakunta University of Applied Sciences and Tampere University. Responsible for the Expo in Pori are TASE, Satakunta DigiHealth, HyteOpe and Robocoast R&D Center projects. For the Rauma Expo's part, TASE, Satakunta DigiHealth and Robocoast R&D Center projects have the responsibility. As a partner for the events operates Hyteairo, the Well-being and Health Sector’s Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Programme by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health.

Participation in the event is free of charge, but signing-up is hoped for.

Those arriving to Pori by public transportation have access to a free bus transport to the Expo. The bus drives via the bus station beside the Pori railway station at 9.45 and 11.45 a.m.
