Every year, a significant number of international students study and graduate in Satakunta. However, their expertise could be utilized better by local companies. A survey targeting companies in Satakunta is now being conducted to assess their experiences, needs, and potential barriers related to the utilization of international expertise.

Students at RoboAI Academy developed solutions for a company’s packaging automation need. Occasional errors occurred in manually packed supply kits, and the company sought a solution that would be easy to modify and replicate. The project team created two prototypes featuring Arduino-controlled LED guidance to help packers select the correct components for each order, reducing mistakes in the packaging process.
This project marked the third phase of the RoboDog project, in which a full 360-degree video feed was wirelessly transmitted from a mobile robot to VR glasses. The VR video feed is intended for use when operating the robot in hazardous production environments.
