RoboAI's cybersecurity experts research and develop solutions that strengthen the digital resilience of industry and organizations, improve the level of system protection, and ensure business continuity in a changing threat environment. Our research and development work focuses on technologies that enable and secure digitalization, the most important of which are:
- Cybersecurity for industrial IT and OT networks: segmentation, monitoring, vulnerability analyses, and protection solutions for production networks as part of critical infrastructure.
- Cyber exercise and simulation environments: attack simulations, testing, and validation of cybersecurity solutions implemented in realistic IT and automation networks.
- Vulnerability management and risk analysis: identification and prioritization of technical and organizational risks and planning of management measures.
- Security of cloud and artificial intelligence solutions: information security of cloud services, interfaces, and artificial intelligence systems, as well as their secure integration into industrial environments.
- Legislation and standards readiness: supporting organizations in complying with national and EU-level cybersecurity regulations, such as the Cybersecurity Act, CRA, and NIS2 Directive, as well as in developing cybersecurity, documentation, and utilizing self-assessment tools.
Cybersecurity research consists of externally funded research and development projects and applied research projects carried out in collaboration with companies. We also offer opportunities for continuous learning to professionals in companies and public organizations.
Our working methods focus on participatory research, cybersecurity exercises, technology pilots, demonstrations, and international technology transfer. Practical testing and simulations ensure that our solutions work in real-world environments, not just in theory.
RoboAI Cyber's main operating environment is RoboAI Cyberlab, which is the cybersecurity expert unit of the RoboAI research center. Cyberlab strengthens the cybersecurity of companies and industry by providing realistic training and testing environments and expert services. The laboratory provides a secure environment for training and testing the cybersecurity of automation networks, IoT devices, and industrial systems, for example, without any risk to production systems. The aim is to provide clear and practical solutions for managing cyber threats, complying with legislation, and developing organizations' own security levels.
The close integration of cybersecurity expertise into RoboAI's research and development activities enables rapid piloting of new solutions, support for regional business life, and the building of long-term expert partnerships.
